Drier air will move into the area today behind a trough which passed east of the forecast area early this morning. A strong trough will move through the western Great Basin tonight and into eastern Utah by sunrise Friday. Southwest winds will increase ahead of this system and continue throughout Friday. These strong winds will combine with very low relative humidity and dry fuels to produce critical fire weather conditions. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for most of western Colorado from 11 am Friday morning to 10 pm Friday evening.
